The ride to Secaucus. Note the Denville Mueseum in the background. Also notice his characteristic pout :o( |
He really likes riding in the car |
The pout looks more like a smile here. |
He actually likes his carrier |
When we 1st moved into his cage at the show it seemed cramped and well, like a cage. |
Ther's no picture of how it ended up, but we annexed the cage to the left, bought a nicer run, new dishes, and a nice litter box. The curtains got moved around and it got very pretty. |
Big yawn! We left the cage open after the first five minutes. He's a good boy. |
Daddy's little boy |
A nice sharp close-up. The seal color is spreading. The fawn color along his spine is beautiful, and very, very soft. |
See the little bag of barley grass we got him? He's got a nice mane. His 1st bath was the night before. He didn't care for that. |
When it's his turn to get judged (six times) you bring him up to the "ring". They have less interesting cages. He grew to HATE them. Note the other ragdoll is 37 (a "seal mitted" girl named Allysa), and Ignazio is 36 (on the right). |
Number 37 (Allysa) is from the breeder Bellapallazzo. |
This is what it looks like when he's being judged. They check him for all sorts of things. Bone structure, coloring, shape and size of the head, intellegece, etc. |
The 1st day he received 1 1st prize, 3 2nds, and 2 thirds. There were three other kittens in his category (Longhair kitten -- Ragdoll), so it was cool he placed every time. |
The second day he didn't do so well. He hated the smell of the disinfectant, and he started to hiss whenever he got to a ring. Although he stayed very happy in his own cage, or walking around. He got 2 seconds, and failed to place in the other 4 rings. |
This is what Ignazio has to say about being judged. Pffft! We're planning to get a Russian Blue sister to keep him company. He gets spayed next month. After those two events he might be calmer at the shows. If not, then he's retire early. |
